This trauma training through the Trauma and Embodiment Association of Ontario (TEAO) may offer some support around becoming attuned to what it is like to do trauma-informed work and to show up in your body, not just as someone with an intervention to offer or a service to provide. The invitation may be to help start thinking about how trauma intersects with embodiment and how, when we show up as "leaders" with a trauma-informed lens, it may begin to mean more than applying traditional techniques or providing basic services. It is this education and training that may be an introduction to a collective understanding of projective identification onto other bodies, including historically ignored bodies.
*TEAO Canada is a start up non-profit organization that will provide high-quality, embodied, trauma-informed and culturally-competent services to youth, adults and families in Ontario, as a Processing Centre.
