TEAO’S COLLECTIVE PAUSE RETREAT

When: Saturday, July 22-23, 2023

TEAO invites you to join us as we reset collectively with mindful moments, quiet reflection and self-healing practices. Registered Psychotherapist and Yoga Instructor Nicole Brown-Faulknor will lead us through a day of somatic breathwork, grounding exercises and body work along with opportunity for self-reflection in nature, time in the heated saltwater pool, or resting in the cozy space. The intention of our Collective Pause Retreat is to explore new self-healing practices and body recovery movements in a safe space.

ART FROM THE HEART PROCESSING

Join us as we come together to celebrate the history of our black communities, our ongoing resilience and empowerment. Art from the Heart is about creating more collective and safer spaces for our communities to heal, move and play together.

​This is an invitation for you and your family to come and explore the powerful and healing benefits of art and movement therapies on building mental health and resilience. Be prepared to be inspired and uplifted.

MOVEMENT FOR TRAUMA RECOVERY

When: Thursday, June 22, 2023
Where: Kitchener Public Library — Central Theatre Lounge
​Time: 6:30pm - 8pm

Rest and play may be just as fundamental to our mental health as hydration is to our bodies. These community classes may support work with intergenerational trauma that might be stored in the body and other forms of helplessness (trauma) that might be trapped in the nervous system through movement and stretching.
