EMBODIMENT FOR TRAUMA RECOVERY

This unique class is for anyone who is on a path to recovering from physical or emotional trauma. The class aims to give participants tools to understand how trauma affects the body, to move through embodied trauma (trauma stored in the body) through movement.

Embodiment for Trauma Recovery consists of very gentle movements, simple postures from hatha yoga, and breath awareness. The classes are aimed at building a trauma survivor’s sense of empowerment and cultivating a more positive relationship to one's body. The class focuses on internal sensing and reclaiming choice in your body, and is less about form or technique. Absolutely everything in the class is optional, and the practice is beginner-friendly.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

•   Holistic Healing Practices: Gentle movement, mindfulness, and breathwork—designed to help you release tension and reconnect with your body in a loving and supportive way.
•   Safe & Inclusive Space: A welcoming environment where you can relax, heal, and thrive with others who understand and honor your experiences.
•   Joyful Exploration: Engage in activities that allow you to rediscover the joy, freedom, and celebration of living in your body—just as it is.
•   Empowered Community: Connect with like-minded individuals in a space of solidarity, kindness, and shared healing.

This retreat is not about changing your body—it's about celebrating it. It's about reclaiming the joy that is your birthright, without apology or hesitation.
